ENHANCING ECONOMIC MOBILITY
At BHI, we are dedicated to improving the financial well-being of HACLA families through a range of impactful programs, including career coaching, workplace readiness training, financial literacy education, and youth employment initiatives.
Gateway to Jobs & Careers Program In collaboration with the LA/Watts WorkSource Center, our Gateway to Jobs & Careers Program offers valuable employment opportunities and supports for at-risk youth ages 14-24. Each year, we expect to place over 500 young people in jobs with esteemed organizations in both the public and private sector.
For BHI, Economic Mobility means supporting participants with essential skills for financial success, including financial literacy classes, guidance on establishing bank accounts, and leadership development training. By engaging in this program, youth gain practical experience and explore a wide range of career possibilities while earning and learning about the professional world.
